PILATES CLASSES FOR EVERY BODY

The Pilates Method is a movement-based exercise method created by Joseph Pilates in the early part of the 20th Century. It can be practiced on a mat or on various pieces of equipment designed by Joseph himself. Pilates is suitable for everyone* ranging from those new to exercise to professional athletes and dancers.

Joseph had a holistic approach to health and recognised that breath control and mindfullness during Pilates practice contributed greatly to successful outcomes. His Method, when engaged in correctly, focuses on achieving correct posture, musculoskeletal balance and alignment and whole-body co-ordination.

Traditionally, in a studio setting, Pilates is taught in a 1:1 up to 4:1 student to teacher ratio under the guidance of a professionally qualified Pilates instructor. The small class size enables the instructor to choose exercises specific to the student’s needs and to safely guide them; precision is key to improving both technique and outcomes.

Practicing Pilates has many benefits including:

To ensure that Pilates sessions are catered to the individual’s specific needs, each new client will participate in an initial consultation comprising of a physical assessment and a 30-min Pilates session. At the end of the consultation, an appropriate training schedule can be decided upon.

Pilates sessions are either a ‘Private’ (1 : 1), or ‘Semi-Private’ (2 :1). The duration is either 45-mins or 60-mins.

  • Initial Consultation including a 30-mins Pilates session (1:1) $110.00

  • 1 x hour Private (1:1) $80.00

  • 45-minutes Private (1:1) $60.00

  • 1 x hour Semi-Private (2:1) $90.00
